History

Prime Wheel Corporation was formed to produce World Class Quality Aluminum Wheels, at affordable prices. To accomplish this goal, a manufacturing and engineering team was assembled, from the industries most talented people. This combined expertise assisted in designing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, to produce one and two piece aluminum wheels, with the highest quality possible. In 1989, Prime Wheel Corp. began manufacturing wheels in their new computer controlled manufacturing facility, located in Harbor City, California.

Within a few short years, Prime Wheel Corp. became a leading manufacturer of aluminum Aftermarket Custom Wheels. Prime Wheel's product line included both One Piece cast wheels, and Lightweight Two Piece aluminum wheels in sizes from 13" x 5.5" to 16" x 12.5", with a wide variety of finishes. In 1994, Prime Wheel entered into O.E. manufacturing wheels for various car manufacturers.

  Today, Prime Wheel Corp. is a leading manufacturer of both Aftermarket, and Original   Equipment Aluminum wheels, certified to the latest TS16949 Quality System, employing   over 800 people. With World Wide Distribution to O.E. customers, including Chrysler   LLC, The Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corp., and Mitsubishi Motor America,   Inc..

  Prime Wheel's Harbor City plant is home to the largest aluminum wheel chrome plating   facility in California. The expansion started in 2005 and was completed in 2006. The increased capacity allows Prime Wheel to react to customer's needs as well as satisfy the demand from the public for a high quality chrome plated wheel, and at a reasonable price.

Prime Wheel's Carson plant is one of the most modern aluminum wheel plants in the world. This automated facility showcases the latest in robotics and manufacturing efficiencies. O.E. production includes wheels in sizes 15x6.5 all the way to 22x9.0.
